I was born and raised in a small town outside of Ottawa called Arnprior. I come from somewhat of a musical background, in that my grandfather was a multi-instrumentalist who regularly wrote and performed Bluegrass, Folk, and Country/Western music. Although he passed when I was quite young, his passion for music was certainly gifted on to me. As a kid, The Beatles, Neil Young, James Taylor, The Who and all kinds of Classic Rock were staples in our household, and continue to be to this day.
I got my first guitar when I was about 10. It was truly a piece of junk, but was turned into an even bigger piece of junk when I was through with it. Guitar lessons went on for several years until I finally joined a band when I was 15. 40centfix was a bad name for a band, and was probably fairly fitting for our motley crew of somewhat talented teenagers. After high school, I moved on to Bishop's University and joined another band- Frankie Fontaine and the Feelings. We did mostly covers and played university bars for cases of beer and not much else. It was here however where I really started focusing in on vocals. On my own time, I put away the Fender strat and started strumming and singing acoustic songs.
As things progressed, I started playing the odd bar gig here and there with friends, until finally branching out and doing my own thing in 2015. I take pride in playing long sets without breaks, and trying my best to cater to the crowd. I'm a huge fan of classic rock and alternative, but can't help throwing in covers of hip hop, pop, and punk songs.
